Little Free Libraries
A Little Free Library is a free book-sharing box where anyone may take a book or share a book. They function on the honor system. You do not need to share a book in order to take one. If you take a book or two from a little library, try to bring some to share to that same library, or another in your area, when you can.
Cherokee is fortunate to have 4 Little Free Libraries.
The one on the west side of town is located on the the southwest corner of N. 11th St. and Willow St. This is owned by Harry and Cindy Sizeland (111 N. 11th St.).
The 2nd little lending library is located in front of the Cherokee Community Center. (530 W. Bluff St.)
The 3rd Little Free Library is located at Hank Hayes’ residence, at 300 Sesame St. This is at the corner of Greta St. and Sesame St.
The 4th Little Free Library is in a bench located at 409 E. Cedar St. at the home of Dustin & Michelle Handy. This library features mainly Christian books.
Feel free to use any or all of these libraries – maybe when the Public Library is closed or if any of these are easier to access for you than going to the library.
